Application for Texas Poultry Federation / Texas Allied Poultry Association Scholarship
(General TAPA, TPF/TAPA Family Scholarship, Jimmy Singleton Memorial, K.E. "Jake" Jacob Memorial,
C.R. "Dick" Creger Memorial,
and James and Walline Grimm Scholarships)
All scholarship applicants must meet the criteria below for consideration
of the TAPA Student Assistance Program.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
The Texas Allied Poultry Association have two types of scholarships.
TAPA Student Scholarship
Essential criteria that the applicants must meet are:
- The applicant must have completed 60 hours:
- The applicant must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 and a minimum GPA of 2.75 within their major discipline.
- The applicant applying for the TAPA Student Scholarship must be a student at Texas A&M University or Stephen F. Austin State University majoring or minoring in Poultry Science.
TAPA and TPF Family Scholarships
Basic criteria that must be met by the applicants are:
- Applicant's parent must be an active member of TAPA/TPF.
- The applicant must have completed 30 hours:
- The applicant must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 and a minimum GPA of 2.75 within their major discipline.
- The applicants are not limited to agriculture disciplines.
- The applicants are not limited to Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin Universities but are limited to a Texas College or University.
Requirements for all scholarships under the TAPA Student Assistance Program are:
- Application completed online.
- A photo of the applicant (headshot)
- A 400-word essay explaining your degree choice and why you should be considered for this scholarship.

- Full Name and Contact information
- Hometown
- Current and previously attended colleges or universities.
- Work Experience (including internships and student-related work experience).
- Activities and Leadership
- Awards and Honors
- Transcript (official not required)
- Two letters of recommendation.
The Deadline for applications will be September 30, 2024.
Successful candidates cannot be awarded scholarships more than twice for a total of $3,000.
