Texas Allied Poultry Association Scholarship
The Texas Allied Poultry Association (TAPA) offers a Student Assistance Program to provide financial assistance to undergraduate college students pursuing degrees in poultry science and related fields.
TAPA offers two types of scholarships:
TAPA Student Scholarship
Basic Criteria that must be met by the applicants include:
- Student must have completed 60 hours
- Student must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 with a minimum GPA of 2.75 within their major discipline.
- Student at Texas A&M University or Stephen F. Austin State University majoring or minoring in Poultry Science
TAPA and TPF Family Scholarships
Basic Criteria that must be met by the applicants include:
- Applicant's parent must be an active member of TAPA/TPF
- Student must have completed 30 hours
- Student must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 with a minimum GPA of 2.75 within their major discipline
- Applicants are not limited to agriculture studies
- Applicants are not limited to Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin Universities
All scholarship applicants must meet the criteria above.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarships are awarded based on the need demonstrated by the applicant in their application, resume and 400-word essay submitted to the TAPA Student Assistance Program Committee. The committee will also ask for input from the student's academic advisors and Department Head to help make scholarship determination.
The deadline for applications is September 30, 2023. Successful candidates cannot be awarded scholarships more than twice for a total of $3,000.

The Texas Poultry Federation is proud to honor individuals who regularly contribute to advancing the state's poultry industry.
The 2023 award recipients include:
